Newly released federal data shows Mobile County’s economy continued its strong upward trajectory in 2024, with local real-GDP growth totaling approximately $2.046 billion between 2022 and 2024, representing a 9.2% increase over its 2022 level.
The delayed 2024 GDP figures, released following last fall’s government shutdown, show Mobile County’s economy grew by $949 million in 2024 alone, bringing total real-GDP to $24.3 billion. That represents a 4.06% growth rate for the year, well above both state and national averages.
