On the morning of June 11, 2024 the City of Mobile recognized 2024 St. Paul’s Episcopal School graduate, John Shell for his efforts to revitalize and clean Gulf Coast water. 

John Shell, the salutatorian of his class, started Eagle Reef in 2022 for his Eagle Scout project with a goal to “deploy 100 mini reefs across coastal Alabama to help clean our water and improve the fish and crab population along our coastlines.” 

Registration is now open for businesses looking to spotlight what they have to offer at the Mobile Chamber’s 2024 Business Expo. The Business Expo is consistently the Mobile area’s largest business-to-business trade show with more than 200 slots available for companies of every size to promote and market their products and services.

The Mobile Area Chamber Foundation has been admitted into the Innovate Alabama Network. The foundation was awarded $20,000, which will be used to support programs, training and networking events to help small businesses and entrepreneurs in our area.

The Mobile Chamber today announced the establishment of Gulf Sterilization, a business in the bioscience industry, that is significantly enhancing the medical device manufacturing sector in Mobile, Alabama. Gulf Sterilization plans to develop a state-of-the-art medical device sterilization and decontamination facility at 4345 Halls Mill Road, Mobile, Ala. The facility will employ cutting-edge sterilization processes to address critical supply chain and capacity pressures faced by manufacturers.
