Alabama is home to over 4,000 manufacturing facilities dedicated to excellence and innovative advancements that propel Alabama toward a more prosperous future. Alabama’s manufacturing industry plays a vital role in the state’s economy and is found in numerous local communities, creating career opportunities for many Alabamians that result in a higher quality of life. We invite the public to join us in celebrating this key industry and recognizing the fantastic products made here every day.

The contest will begin on February 17th as the nomination period opens. Nominations will be taken until March 7th at 11:59 p.m. While the products headquarters does not need to be in Alabama the product must be made in Alabama, using a manufacturing process.

Voting will begin on March 11th and we encourage the public to participate in voting. During the popular vote, you may vote up to five times per day and for the rest of the rounds, you may vote once per day.

In April, we will recognize the 2025 winner of “The Coolest Thing Made in Alabama” at a ceremony with state leaders and the four remaining products from the competition.
